‘Pieces of You’ – TABLO

For my AP Literature class, our homework was to bring small excerpt of a piece of writing that had good syntax or one with a lot of meaning. I immediately thought of ‘Pieces of You’, a book by Daniel Armand Lee, or better known as Tablo from Epik High (a Korean hip hop group).

Way before the assignment, I had purchased the book and immediately flipped through the pages to find something worth reading to my class. I chose a paragraph from  ‘A Glass of Victory’, one of the short stories, and the teacher had an interest in the book afterwards. I let him borrow it for a couple hours and afterwards, he said he read ‘Hate Crime’ and was interested in getting his own copy.

I feel proud for spreading K-Pop to an unexpected figure, my teacher.
